08/05/2006 : ID Data pioneers the launch of Town Centre Gift Cards
Stored value plastic gift cards are rapidly replacing traditional paper based gift vouchers in many retail stores. This is arguably the first of a two stage process in which individual store gift cards will be replaced by linked initiatives which support redemption in a variety of aligned retail chains. This technology could also be adapted to support a town centre gift card, designed to build both loyalty and business in the local community.
