ExpressCard Instant Issuance
ExpressCard Instant Issuance isa venture between ID Data and MagTek, the world leader in electronic transaction technology.
ExpressCard Instant Issuance offers all the features required for the personalisation and instant issuance of EMV credit, debit, ATM and financial gift cards. For the first time, card personalisation features such as colour card printing, encoding, coloured embossing, indent printing and foil tipping have been combined into a single desktop device. This provides both the physical and logical security features required to meet all Visa and MasterCard rules.
ExpressCard Instant Issuance fully personalises any Credit/Debit/ATM or Gift card in less than 90 seconds. For the first time, EMV or other financial cards are available instantly, ‘on demand’ and in ‘real time’. The card is ready for use as soon as the customer leaves the issuing location.
For the card issuer, ExpressCard Instant Issuance allows card users to select their own PIN and even upload their own photograph onto the face of the card. ExpressCard Instant Issuance allows cardholders to personalise their cards in a manner that is uniquely personal. For example, cardholders will be able to add photos of their wedding or their children. Such convenience maximises card uptake and reduces the number of dormant accounts.
ExpressCard Instant Issuance also provides a more cost-effective and secure method for card distribution through reduced postage costs, zero postal fraud and zero card activation call centre costs. Consequently, the cost of re-issuing cards is also greatly reduced.
Software
ID Data’s Technology Partner, SmartSoft-IT, provides award winning instant issuance software which avoids the replication of expensive high security infrastructure at every issuance point whilst maintaining the security standards demanded by MasterCard and Visa. SmartInstant suite has a noteworthy deployment at Garanti Bank in Turkey where it is used to instantly issue MasterCard PayPass cards.
