Magnetic Stripe Key Cards
Magnetic stripe cards are currently the preferred form of hotel key card within Europe. ID Data is highly experienced in producing magnetic stripe key cards in a variety of formats.
Smart or Chip Key Cards
Key cards reliant on smart card or chip technology offer increased security for both the guest and hotel. ID Data has helped many of Europe’s largest hotel chains migrate their key cards from magnetic stripe to smart (chip) based systems. Multi-application functionality means that the same key card can now act as a loyalty card, an onsite leisure facility access card or even as a prepaid corporate expense card.
RFID or Contactless Key Cards
Driven by the latest smart card technology, RFID or Contactless key cards rely on radio frequency identification. The contactless interface allows effortless room access thereby eliminating often cumbersome slide-in or swipe door entry mechanisms. ID Data is conversant with all RFID key card platforms including MIFARE.
