Targeted at the banking market in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, TTi was established as a joint venture by ID Data, Toshiba Corporation and Toppan Printing Company of Japan. The shareholdings are ID Data 43%, Toshiba 43% and Toppan 14%.
TTi develops, supports and markets EMV smart card solutions for the European banking industry. The UK based operation is headquartered at ID Data's Petersfield facility.
TTi is a fully integrated supplier of EMV smart cards to the international banking market. All components and processes are provided by the three partners:
- Silicon development and manufacture by Toshiba
- Card applications developed by Toshiba and ID Data
- Plastic and printing technology by Toppan
- EMV Card manufacture and personalisation by ID Data and Toppan
A full range of banking applications are available from basic memory chips to VSDC 1.4 and MChip4, with an ongoing development investment plan ensuring TTi Card Technology meets the ever changing needs and demands of the bank card market and its customers.
