As Eastern Europe grows ID Data have ensured they are based in the right place for the current and ongoing market growth and developments. This joint venture between ID Data Systems (card manufacturing, personalisation and fulfilment specialist), Ortis (specialist printing company) and Argo Cards (card personalisation business) provides a manufacturing card plant, based in Bydgoszcz, Poland, which increases ID Data's card capability to over 225 million cards per annum.
The partners have a host of experience between them and both Ortis and Argo Card have established presence in Poland and this along with ID Data's customers and presence will enable further growth, with particular focus on the financial services arena. The joint venture will provide a very cost effective source of card bodies for distribution throughout both Western and Eastern Europe. ID Data will use this capability and relationship to develop business through existing and new channels to market.
The new facility is housed in Ortis' existing printing facility and uses equipment from ID Data's Lewes facility which was closed last year. This equipment has already been transferred and installed in the factory.
